New CEO for Tower NZ
Three weeks after announcing plans to separate its New Zealand and Australian businesses, Tower has named the CEO of its NZ operations.
Rob Flannagan – who currently heads Promina’s IT and infrastructure division in its Auckland office – is the man taking on the top job. He will be joined by Tower director Tony Gibbs, who will be the NZ company’s Chairman.
Pending the outcome of the demerger, which will be put to shareholders at a special meeting on November 6, Mr Flannagan will report to Tower MD Jim Minto. After the businesses are split he will report to the board of Tower NZ.
Tower Chairman Keith Barton says Mr Flannagan has the right skills to lead the NZ business in the right direction.
“He is a very capable leader with strong Australasian experience,” he said. “He has led businesses in NZ, and we feel he has excellent skills to lead the Tower New Zealand businesses forward.”
