Kevin Bates has been named as Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' new country head for Australia and New Zealand.

“With more than two decades of experience in insurance, risk management, corporate finance and leading diverse teams, Kevin brings with him a strategic mindset and mature leadership style that makes him an exceptional candidate for the role,” the Swiss Re-owned commercial insurer's CEO for Asia-Pacific Jonathan Rake said.

“I am confident Kevin will strengthen our ANZ business and bring a fresh perspective to the broader APAC leadership team with his deep knowledge and expertise.”

Mr Bates will join on November 4, taking over from Christine Bell, who is retiring after taking up the role in August 2021.

He is currently group head of risk and insurance at Lendlease, according to his LinkedIn. He joined the construction group in 2004 and was appointed to his current role in March 2014.
