New agency in $8 million CGU campaign

CGU Insurance has put its new brand awareness campaign in the hands of advertising agency CumminsNitro Melbourne.

CGU’s Senior Manager Brand Strategy Alan Keyse says CumminsNitro “stood apart” from the other agencies to win the account.

It’s understood the campaign budget is about $8 million. The agency will handle the television and radio work for the brand, to be launched in March next year.

IAG will also be launching eVentures, a start-up business that is looking at creating new online offerings.

A spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au that while the business is not yet operational, the “development of the business strategy is progressing according to plan”, including the development of myinsuranceideas.com.au, a community consultation website designed to gather feedback from the public.
