Nautilus moves west
Newly founded private pleasurecraft insurance agency Nautilus has expanded its reach, opening an office in WA yesterday.
In what’s becoming a bit of a habit in the ever-competitive marine industry, Nautilus has also poached long-time Club Marine State Manager Raymond Fisher as its first WA State Manager. Mr Fisher had been with Club Marine for 27 years.
Formed last year after Club Marine’s three most senior managers parted company with the Allianz-owned company, Nautilus says it wants to offer more choice in the recreational pleasure craft and commercial vessel market. The company says it has experienced “rapid growth” since launching last year.
Mr Fisher says the position will be challenging because he will have to start the company and brand from scratch in WA. But he says there is room for competition in the market which he says has been “tied up for quite some time”.
Nautilus already has offices in Victoria, NSW and Queensland.
