MYI Freemans changes name to Cerno

Major loss adjuster MYI Freemans will be known as Cerno from July 1.

Chairman David Ryan says MYI Freemans was a “transitional brand” adopted in September 2009 when the Australian divisions of Freemans and McLarens Young International (MYI) merged.

He says the new name, which means “resolve and determine” in Latin, represents the “single identity” that the two firms have subsequently become.

Cerno will remain an agent of the MYI network and Mr Ryan says it will also look to develop other international alliances and opportunities.

“The rebranding is part of the company’s progressive strategy to grow the business, provide stronger support structures and build broader international networks and alliances while unlocking new products and services,” he said.
