MYI Freemans boss quits

MYI Freemans CEO Martin Hartcher has resigned, with Chairman David Ryan stepping into the role in an interim capacity.

The resignation comes just seven months after the merger of McLarens Young International Australia and Freemans Australia. Mr Hartcher was Freemans CEO prior to the merger.

“Martin worked for the organisation in various guises for several years, and decided he’d done what he came here to do,” Mr Ryan told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

The firm has commenced a search Mr Hartcher’s replacement, with the process expected to take several months.

“We’re an organisation that is continually changing in line with our development program,” Mr Ryan said. “We’ll take a bit of time to find the right person.”

MYI Freemans is based in Sydney and employs more than 500 staff across the country.
