Adelaide-based broker MGA is extending its national footprint with the opening of an office in Perth.

The expansion takes the company’s network to 21 offices across the country, and is part of a joint venture with Aegis Insurance Brokers – currently an authorised representative of Ausure. The office will open in January and be staffed by Aegis Principal Mark Lynch and his team.

MGA GM Paul George told insuranceNEWS.com.au the company is also brokering a deal for one of SA’s biggest mortgage brokers, Bernie Lewis Home Loans, to give authorised consultants the ability to handle home insurance for their clients.

He says 30 consultants will be given the chance to offer home insurance through an online portal.

“The details are still being ironed out,” he said.
