Long-standing Melbourne broker Monash Insurance Brokers has merged with Monbulk-based Professional Insurance Brokers. Monash MD Charles McMillan says the move was spurred by the rising costs of the Financial Services Reform Act and both brokerages’ goal of maintaining their commitments to clients.

The new business will be owned and operated by Nonak Nominees, which trades as Professional Insurance Brokers under MD Martin Hastings.
