Underwriting agent Mecon Winsure Insurance Group has opened a Perth office, to better service its “ever-growing client base” in WA, according to CEO Glenn Ross.

“This move reflects our long-term commitment to the Perth market and is the realisation of another milestone in the company’s development,” he said.

Colin Ferguson will join the office as Senior Development Underwriter, having previously worked with Marsh and Wesfarmers subsidiary WFI.

The group was created last July with the merger of mechanical and construction underwriting agency Mecon and general underwriting agency Winsure.

The Perth operation complements offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
