McLarens has acquired CNZ Group Holdings, an Auckland-based claims manager that is employee-owned and an affiliate of Crawford & Company.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

CNZ will operate under the McLarens brand, expanding its global footprint in strategic geographic markets and building its presence in Asia Pacific.

With 26 offices across New Zealand, CNZ’s team of more than 200 employees provides full-service claims handling and dispute resolution across property, business interruption, construction & engineering, casualty, motor, marine and professional building consultancy.

The business will continue to be led by CNZ CEO Dean Garrod, who becomes MD McLarens New Zealand, and senior staff will retain their existing roles.

McLarens CEO Gary Brown says CNZ is a perfect fit for the global loss adjuster’s growth strategy and will contribute significant scale, with technical expertise and international catastrophe management capabilities.
