McLardy McShane’s McTakeover

Melbourne broker McLardy McShane has expanded to the Mornington Peninsula, with the acquisition of McIntyre’s Insurance Agencies in Rosebud.

The McIntyre family has owned the business for more than 50 years. It will now trade as McLardy McShane McIntyre.

Former owner Marty McIntyre will stay with the company founded by his father in 1964.

Meanwhile, McLardy McShane MD Don McLardy has announced the appointment of former OAMPS national affinity manager Meg Long as GM of Empire Insurance Services – the broker’s licence-holding company.

She will oversee the group’s operations and its authorised representatives.

“This is an exciting time for us as we expand the branch network and welcome Meg, who will help pave the way for future progress and expansion,” Mr McLardy said.

He says he wants to attract “likeminded high-performing individuals” and partner with other businesses.
