McCabe Curwood changes name to McCabes

Law firm McCabe Curwood has rebranded and going forward will be known as McCabes.

The firm, which has offices in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, is fronted by Managing Principal Andrew Lacey, who heads commercial litigation.

Mr Lacey revealed the new McCabes name during a staff address, where he also officially announced a dedicated Government Division to sit alongside the Insurance and Commercial Divisions of the firm.

McCabes merged with Curwoods three years ago.

“Our strategy has been to bring together and develop our expertise across both the commercial and insurance markets, while growing our specialised Government offering, and it is with pride we can say we have been successful,” Mr Lacey said. “Announcing our Government Division recognises the fantastic growth.”

Mr Lacey noted the last three years had achieved a national footprint and development of a new division and said the firm plans to continue to bolster its commercial offer.

“McCabes is an ambitious and growing law firm,” he said.
