Marsh swoops to hire AIG’s NZ chief 

Marsh McLennan has appointed AIG CEO Toni Ferrier to take over responsibility for the business in New Zealand from January 1. 

Ms Ferrier, who has more than 30 years’ industry experience, has been named Marsh McLennan New Zealand CEO and Marsh New Zealand President, effective from next year. 

She has been AIG’s local CEO since January 2020. She has held leadership positions at Vero, Lumley, Wesfarmers and Crombie Lockwood. She is the current Insurance Council of New Zealand President and served as Commissioner of the New Zealand Earthquake Commission for two years.  

Ms Ferrier will be based in Auckland and report to Marsh Pacific CEO David Bryant and Josh Roach, the current New Zealand head, when he takes up his role as Marsh Pacific President on January 1.
