Marsh buys Brisbane broker
Marsh Australia has swallowed up Brisbane boutique broking firm RJ Neville and Associates for an undisclosed price.
The company says the acquisition is “part of a broader growth strategy” that will enable Marsh to build its book of business in the Brisbane area “and in the resources and small-to-medium business markets”.
A Marsh spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au RJ Neville’s staff and clients will be integrated into its business.
“RJ Neville has a small team of advisers and we are currently finalising our plans for its staff to join the Marsh business,” he said.
The company’s principals – company founder Russell Neville, Paul Kelly and Michael Parker – have accepted long-term contracts with Marsh.
Marsh says the company RJN has recorded year-on-year revenue growth since Mr Neville founded it in 2001. It has many clients in mining, oil and gas, bio-medical, manufacturing and engineering.
