Managers in and out as Zurich restructures

Zurich has appointed a new chief underwriting officer as management changes continue in its strategic restructure.

Sean Walker was previously head of underwriting and deal management for Global Corporate.

insuranceNEWS.com.au understands veteran Victorian State Manager Chris O’Connor has announced his intention to leave the company sometime next year.

And Head of International Sales and Distribution Kai Dwyer has transferred to Auckland as Acting GM New Zealand. He replaces Adrian Riminton, who became EGM Commercial – Australia in August.

Mr Walker joined Zurich in 1995 and later spent time with Ace and AIG before rejoining Zurich in 2010.

He says there are always ways to improve “and that is what makes the role of the underwriter in the current environment incredibly challenging, yet so rewarding”.
