Management changes at OAMPS
OAMPS MD Tony Robinson has left the company following its acquisition by Wesfarmers, with the WA conglomerate unsuccessful in its efforts to hold on to his services.
CEO Brian Austin has been reporting to Wesfarmers Insurance Division CEO Bob Buckley since the diversified company acquired OAMPS for $700 million in September.
Mr Buckley says Mr Robinson’s departure was amicable. “We would have been keen to keep him but he felt it was time to move on,” he told Sunrise Exchange News.
Mr Buckley has announced he will retire on July 1 after more than 40 years in the industry. Current Wesfarmers Insurance Division Deputy MD Rob Scott, a former merchant banker, will replace him.
