MacRae leaves QBE
EGM Intermediary Distribution Tony MacRae has left QBE following a “strategic review”.
Mr MacRae made a “significant contribution” during his eight years with the business, a QBE spokesman said.
“Tony left us following discussions regarding the next phase of our strategy.
“In an ever-changing market it is now time for us to focus on the current and future requirements of our intermediated partners, so we can better support them and their businesses.”
An interim structure has been put in place, with Mr MacRae’s responsibilities to be spread among other members of the Australian division’s executives.
Mr MacRae chaired QBE’s strategic underwriting committee and diversity council, and was chairman of the QBE Foundation – a position that will be taken over by Group GM Credit and Surety Richard Wulff.
