Lumley has boosted its online platform by launching a new management liability product.

The new product is geared towards the SME market and can either be used as part of Lumley’s commercial business package or as a stand-alone policy.

It will cover such exposures as directors’ and officers’ liability, employment practices, statutory liabilities and legal expenses.

CFO John Nagle says liability cover for small businesses is becoming a sought-after commodity, with brokers increasingly being called on to provide it.

He says Lumley’s business package has been very popular and “after talking to brokers we know this is a natural extension of this package”.

It is now available via Sunrise Exchange as part of the insurer’s my.place@lumley platform.
