Lumley acquires Prestige underwriter
Lumley General Insurance has announced the acquisition of popular national underwriting agency Prestige Car Insurance. National Development Manager David Pearce says the move is part of the plan to expand the company’s prestige motor area alongside Torque, Vigil and Unique – the last two having become part of the Wesfarmers Insurance Division following the OAMPS acquisition.
MD Ray Woodlands, along with his wife Merilyn and their staff, will stay with the company. “Lumley and the Wesfarmers Group… offered a sustainable long term-growth strategy for our business and staff,” Mr Woodlands said.
