Logo changes, but little else
CGU and Norwich Union in Australia have begun implementing a new “visual identity” campaign to bring it into line with their parent company’s global rebranding. The new look follows the merger of CGU and Norwich Union in Britain to form CGNU.
The two Australian arms will continue to operate separately, with CGU in general insurance and Norwich Union in life insurance and funds management.
The new combined logo retains CGU’s blue and green colours, while the Norwich link is recognised with a stylised version of the Norwich cathedral spire.
The implementation strategy in Australia is being managed by CGU’s group marketing department in Melbourne, and will be phased in over the next 12 months. Policy wordings, brochures and other documents will be gradually rebranded as old stocks run out.
