Brokerage Lockton Companies Australia has opened its first Tasmanian office in Hobart and has plans for further expansion in the state.

Tasmanian Tim Johns joins Lockton on August 30 as State Director. He has more than four decades experience in the industry, most recently serving a two-year stint as State Sales Manager Australia at Gallagher and nine years at Aon Risk Services.

Lockton Australia CEO Paul Marsden says the island state boasts a number of important initiatives such as Battery of the Nation, delivering renewable energy to the mainland through Project Marinus, which Lockton looks forward to supporting.

“Tasmania represents further expansion of our Australian footprint and we look forward to providing the full strength of Lockton’s risk solutions capabilities,” he said.
