New Zealander Kent Chaplin has been appointed as the head of Lloyd’s Asia-Pacific operations.

He replaces Keith Stern, who was based in Sydney until last year and is now Lloyd’s regional manager for the UK and Ireland.

Mr Chaplin will be based in Singapore and oversee Lloyd’s operations across Australia, NZ, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Mr Chaplin was an insurance litigation specialist in NZ before moving to the UK in 1996. He joined Lloyd’s in 2004 as Head of Claims.
