Lloyd’s man in Australia recalled to London
Lloyd’s Regional Manager for Asia Pacific, Keith Stern, is relocating to the UK after a 10-year stint in the market’s Sydney office.
Mr Stern has accepted a posting as Lloyd’s Regional Manager for the UK and Ireland, and will take up his new position onJuly 1.
Mr Stern was appointed Lloyd’s General Representative for Australia in January 2000. He had previously worked within the regulatory and international divisions at Lloyd’s in London.
“I have been in Australia for over 10 years and it has been a fantastic experience,” he said last week. “But it’s time for a new challenge.”
The Australian market is the fourth largest source of revenue for Lloyd’s globally with premiums in 2008 of around $1 billion.
