Leadership changes at OAMPS

OAMPS Insurance Brokers has announced the appointment of New Zealander Keith McIvor as CEO, replacing Peter Blackmore who is moving back to Perth as the company’s Head of Corporate Development.

Mr McIvor takes on the top job from July 1, having previously served as OAMPS Head of Operations. Prior to his move to Australia last year he was GM of major NZ broker Crombie Lockwood, another Wesfarmers Insurance Division subsidiary.

Mr Blackmore says his new role will allow him to focus “on key relationships and continuing the growth of our substantial client base”.

Wesfarmers Insurance MD Rob Scott told insuranceNEWS.com.au Mr Blackmore “made enormous progress in the past couple of years in bringing the team together, increasing profit and reducing staff turnover”.

His desire to move back to a client-facing role in Perth made the appointment of Mr McIvor a “logical choice”, Mr Scott said.
