Landmark joins NAS
The insurance arm of agribusiness group Landmark has become an authorised representative (AR) of CGU-owned NAS Insurance Brokers.
It has joined the group to access the FINNAS technology platform, which provides an interface with CGU, Landmark National Insurance Manager Lynette Rankin says.
The move is still at the pilot stage due to the complexity of the Landmark business, which has 400 offices nationally, but it will be complete by August or September, she told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
Currently Landmark is an authorised representative for CGU and Wesfarmers-owned WFI.
Ruralco and Canegrowers are also ARs with NAS, which is the largest rural and regional insurance broker in Australia, according to MD James How.
It has more than 250 individual ARs, growing to more than 300 as Landmark is integrated.
NAS expects to earn gross written premium of more than $150 million at June 30, Mr How says.
It has grown by nearly 30% a year for the past four years and he does not see this slowing.
Some CGU ARs have joined NAS, and Mr How is in talks with brokers that are considering switching to the AR model to focus on clients rather than compliance work.
