Keystone sees nearly 200 brokers enrol for portal
Keystone Underwriting says nearly 200 brokers have enrolled to use an online portal developed ahead of the launch of the business as an independent firm with a new name in February.
The agency obtained an Australian Financial Service Licence and become a Lloyd’s coverholder in its own right this year after previously being an authorised representative of Quantum.
Keystone is led by MD Neil Sheppard and directors John King and David Jones. It provides specie insurance as well cover for financial and specialty lines for the SME market.
Mr Jones says a “low-key soft launch” amid the coronavirus outbreak has allowed further testing of the online portal, developed over the previous two years.
“We have had really good feedback from brokers,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
The portal currently delivers quotes for more than 1500 occupations across 11 product lines, and Mr Jones says Keystone is looking toward further uptake from brokers and additional resourcing as it expands and the economy recovers.
