Johns Lyng joins Tower panel

Johns Lyng has clinched its first agreement with a national insurer in New Zealand, signing on to provide building repair services as part of Tower’s panel.

Johns Lyng now has 109 locations in Australia, two in New Zealand and 51 in the US. CEO Nick Carnell says Tower has a “laser focus on the customer and ultimately delivering a positive experience”.

“That is something we absolutely identify with,” he said. “We are delighted to work with one of New Zealand’s premier insurance brands and this is a further demonstration that our business model can be implemented seamlessly across the Tasman and beyond.”

The repairer had extended its footprint into the South Island in May with the acquisition of an 80% stake in Christchurch-based Mainland Building Services, and opened an Auckland office after Cyclone Gabrielle struck the North Island.

"This initial emergency response has now evolved into a significant rebuild effort which will continue well into 2024,” a statement said.
