Lumley NZ CEO John Lyon will leave the company on August 1 – one month after the company became part of IAG.

IAG NZ this morning issued a statement saying Lumley’s COO Alistair Smith will be Acting EGM until it decides on its intermediated insurance model and organisational structure.

“We have a great deal of respect for John and support the personal decision he’s made to embrace opportunities that lie outside of IAG,” the company said.

Mr Lyon joined Lumley NZ in 2008 from Vero NZ, where he had worked for 17 years.
