JLT profit up 5%
Turnover in the Australian and NZ branches of global risk services company Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) rose 10% to $141 million last year, helping the London-based company post a 5% increase in pre-tax profit of £95.2 million ($204 million).
Turnover from JLT international risk and insurance operations grew 3% to £390.3 million ($836 million), while trading profit improved to £63.3 million ($136 million) from £61.4 million ($131.6 million) in the previous year.
JLT had total turnover of £473.2 million ($1.014 billion), up 3% on 2006.
Total investment income increased £600,000 ($1.3 million) to £17.5 million ($37.5 million).
