Allianz Commercial has appointed Sydney-based Jason Hawksworth GM Distribution in its Commercial division, which was introduced at the start of last year under a new operating model focused on three key customer segments.

The other two segments are Consumer and Workers' Compensation.

Mr Hawksworth previously worked for 13 years at Allianz in both the in UK and Australia, holding NSW State Manager and Hunter Premium Funding roles. In February, he resigned from his role as Head of Distribution at Chubb, where he spent seven years.

In October, Phuong Ly took the helm as Chief GM at the Commercial division, which focuses on small to medium enterprises, mid-corp markets and specialist areas such as Hunter Premium Funding and Underwriting Agencies.

“I’m very much looking forward to returning to Allianz and ensuring our broker focus and market management is once again market leading,” Mr Hawksworth said.
