Comparison website iSelect has appointed Alex Stevens as CEO.

He will start on March 31, replacing Matt McCann, who resigned last October after disagreeing with the board on growth priorities.

Mr Stevens, a former surgeon, was most recently MD of Fonterra Brands Australia. He has also served as MD of Carlton & United Breweries and CEO of PepsiCo Australia and New Zealand.

CFO David Chalmers has served as Acting CEO since Mr McCann’s departure.
