Australian start-up Soldier.ly has shared third place in Zurich’s inaugural Innovation World Championship for insurtechs.

The company developed the world’s first smartwatch stress-detection app, with real-time assistance for wearers.

Soldier.ly and the other winning insurtechs will work with Zurich on pilot programs for the global insurer’s customers.

More than 450 start-ups took part in the competition and winners were unveiled in a ceremony at the insurer’s Swiss headquarters.
