Insurance House expands in NSW

Insurance House has expanded in NSW with the acquisition of a key stake in authorised representative Commercial Insurance Group (CIG), based in the south-eastern Sydney suburb of Rockdale.

The broking group says it will migrate its existing Sydney general book to CIG while the financial lines team will remain in the central business district.

“I’m really excited by this move, which gets our Sydney general insurance brokers located closer to their clients,” MD Jay Fereday said. “It also lets us continue to improve the service and advice we’re providing our clients in challenging times.”

Melbourne-based Insurance House has expanded into the regional centres of Taree, Newcastle, Shepparton and Bendigo in the past 12 months and says it has a strong local focus. In NSW it also has offices in Port Macquarie, Tamworth and on the Central Coast.

CIS Insurance Director Jeff Tyler says the equity deal and boost to the team will benefit the expanding business.

“This addition allows us to further pursue our growth objectives whilst continuing to deliver high level customer service and advice-based outcomes for our clients,” he said.
