Insurance House acquisitions extend regional reach

Insurance House has purchased two NSW brokerages as it strives to build its presence in regional markets.

The purchase of Tamworth-based Insurance Hub and Port Macquarie-based Insurance House 360 took effect on Saturday.

Insurance House Rural and Agency National Manager Jim Karafilis says the acquisitions are highly complementary.

“Our whole ethos is centred around constantly strengthening our capabilities in the rural and regional spaces and expanding our footprint nationally, particularly in the agricultural sector, where we aim to be the leading brokerage,” he said.

Insurance House 360 director Scott Leis will become Head of Metro Broking and join the Insurance House leadership team.

Insurance Hub director Garron Pannan says the pooling of resources and expertise, and support from the head office in Melbourne, will offer a range of benefits for clients.

“We will have increased buying power resulting in opportunities for competitive pricing,” he said.

“The streamlining of business functions also allows us an easier pathway to offer high-quality service and access to experts in specialist areas that were previously unavailable to the business.”

Insurance House has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and rural Victoria and NSW.
