QBE and Ebix have launched a new online claims processing system designed specifically for intermediaries.

“Claimwrite” allows straight-through processing of home and contents claims, including payments. It has a real-time brokering system interface providing direct access and automatic transfer of data between Ebix’s CBS software package and QBE’s computer system. The real-time interface is also available for electronic notification of property claims under QBE’s Business Pack policies.

QBE Australia COO Terry Ibbotson says Claimwrite ensures that “intermediaries benefit from improved processing efficiency and speed of service”, while Leon d’Apice from Ebix said the system will be of benefit to intermediaries who “desire innovation and efficiency in their claims service, and provides the opportunity for them to differentiate themselves by offering quick and easy processing of their clients’ claims”.
