Insurance Advisernet wins Lloyd’s stamp of approval
Insurance Advisernet UK Limited has obtained registered broker accreditation to place open-market and delegated underwriting authority/binder business into Lloyd’s syndicates.
“We’re really chuffed to get Lloyd’s accreditation,” Chairman Ian Carr told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
Fellow Insurance Advisernet Australia (IAA) founding director Fred Allsopp relocated to London earlier this year to lead the accreditation project.
“Having Fred over there has been a terrific advantage for us,” Mr Carr said. “He knows IAA inside out and has been dealing with Lloyd’s for more than 30 years.”
Mr Carr says the company can now put binders into Lloyd’s without using brokers, and put products together for distribution through its Australian and New Zealand networks.
“Of course, we’ll still continue to access local insurers, but we now have the ability to deal with things that are a bit out of the ordinary,” he said.
