IBNA renews premium funder joint venture

Premium funder Centrepoint Alliance has renewed its long-standing joint venture agreement with insurance broker cluster IBNA.

Centrepoint Alliance MD Richard Cawsey told insuranceNEWS.com.au the company has had a close marketing arrangement with IBNA since it went public in 2002.

Mr Cawsey says the business is continuing to grow through the financial crisis, suggesting the importance of premium funding in difficult times.

“With what’s happening in the marketplace, premium funding is becoming a core tool for companies to manage their working capital,” he said.

“Australia is still chronically underinsured, and with rising premiums one of the keys for most companies to get better insured is to figure out how they can fund it and how they can fit it into the cashflows of their businesses. That’s where we see great opportunities.”
