IBA becomes Uniba Partners
Local members of a major global broking organisation are quietly marking the International Insurance Brokers Association changing its name to Uniba Partners.
Formed in 1987, Uniba bills itself as one of the world’s largest independent providers of risk management, insurance broking and employee benefits services. It operates in more than 120 countries through affiliated broking firms.
The organisation has four member broking firms in Australia based in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and WA. There is one Uniba member in NZ.
Leed Risk Services director Con Manetas told insuranceNEWS.com.au membership of Uniba gives members access to an international network. “We have partners in the US and Canada and assist each other to place risk,” he said.
