IAG slams share scam
IAG is warning shareholders to avoid being ripped off by a company trading as Hassle Free Share Sales.
IAG says the company has launched another offer for ordinary shares that significantly undervalues them – just $1.60 per share, well below the average of $3.50 they were trading at on the Australian Securities Exchange late last week.
Hassle Free has made a number of similar offers in the past few months.
IAG Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs Carolyn McCann says the insurer does not endorse any unsolicited share offer.
“We urge shareholders to seek independent financial advice and check the current price of IAG shares before taking any action on unsolicited offers to buy their shares,” she said.
