IAG has settled out of court with Fortis Insurance International over a dispute dating back to 2001, when its now-subsidiary company CGU took over Fortis’ local operations.

Fortis International claimed more than $27 million plus interest was left outstanding from the sale. But an IAG spokesman said the case has been resolved, just days before it was due to go into court for a three-week hearing.
