IAG carried out 43,478 inspections of motor vehicle repairs and 6200 inspections of property repairs in 2016/17.

The insurer’s latest IAG Quality Report identifies quality issues in 0.51% of authorised repairs and potential safety issues in 0.01% of motor vehicle repairs.

About 2.56% of property repairs had quality issues and 0.05% safety issues.

IAG says it works with its partners to rectify any issues.

EGM Short-Tail Claims Steve Fitzpatrick says the report “highlights the quality being delivered for our customers across the motor and property portfolios”.
