IAG New Zealand has continued to make inroads into the NZ insurance market after receiving authorisation from the Commerce Commission of New Zealand to buy Mike Henry Travel Insurance.

Commission Chairman Paula Rebstock said the proposed acquisition won’t substantially lessen competition in the market for the national wholesale distribution of travel insurance.

“The proposed acquisition is unlikely to lead to a substantial lessening of competition due to sufficient existing competition,” she added.
