IAG names new chairman
IAG has named Brian Schwartz to succeed James Strong as chairman on July 1 next year.
The group confirmed the appointment of Mr Schwartz as deputy chairman during the AGM in Sydney last week. He will become chairman when Mr Strong retires at the end of the financial year.
The IAG board expects to appoint another director next year.
Mr Schwartz has been a director of IAG since January 2005 and chairs the board’s nomination, remuneration and sustainability committee.
He also serves as a non-executive director of Brambles Limited and Westfield Group, and is Deputy Chairman of Football Federation Australia.
