IAG has appointed Nora Scheinkestel as a non-executive director.

Dr Scheinkestel – the third woman on the nine-member board – brings a deep understanding of organisational opportunities and risks, Chairman Brian Schwartz says.

“She has gained impressive business experience from a number of industries and in a range of senior roles with leading organisations. I look forward to her contribution.”

Dr Scheinkestel also holds non-executive director positions with Telstra, Pacific Brands, Orica and AMP.

Her executive career has included roles with CRA, Macquarie Bank, Chase AMP and Deutsche Bank. She will join IAG from July 1.
