IAA launches Mint Underwriting

The Insurance Advisernet Group has combined its underwriting agencies into one brand, Mint Underwriting, and appointed Paul Baldacchino as MD.

The division has premium income of more than $40 million and plans to reach $100 million in the next five years.

It includes Advisernet’s underwriting businesses in Australia, New Zealand, the US and the UK. These are Trinity Pacific, All-Trans, iaAgency, Bcoz, Indemnity Solutions, MintMGA and all other Advisernet USA and Lloyd’s of London facilities.

The group says the move will maximise buying power and efficiencies, and ensure the best value products, wording and services are available.

The new business will be chaired by John Skidmore, who recently sold his equity in Adroit Insurance Group but retained the Bcoz agency.

Trinity Pacific MD Denis Gibbes has resigned but will stay on as a consultant, while Chris Collins has left iaAgency to pursue other interests.
