Hosking leaves as Allianz sharpens customer focus

Allianz Australia has introduced a new operating model centred on Consumer, Commercial and Workers’ Compensation divisions and has announced the departure of Chief GM Broker and Agency David Hosking as part of the changes.

Allianz has also announced the appointment of Jodi Fullarton-Healey as General Counsel and Chief GM Corporate Governance from April 1. Helen Silver, currently Chief GM Corporate Governance and Conduct, will move into the newly created role of Deputy MD.

Allianz says in a statement that that given the reconfigured commercial role, Mr Hosking decided to depart at the end of December. An internal and external search is under way to appoint a division head, while Glen Drinnan is acting in the position of Chief GM Commercial.

The Commercial Division will now focus exclusively on the SME and mid-corporate markets and include all specialist areas such as underwriting agencies and Hunter Premium Funding.

The Consumer Division now has end-to-end responsibility for products distributed via direct, broker and agency partners. Michael Winter, who has been leading Retail Distribution, is heading the group, while Chief Market Manager Nicholas Adams has left Allianz after three years.
