Sydney-based Horsell International has announced it will acquire Beacon & Move Insurance Brokers and Consultants (BMIB) as it makes further inroads into the commercial/SME segment.

Horsell International acts as risk and insurance advisors and managers for corporate, sports, commercial and SME clients.

Horsell CEO John Saunders says the acquisition of BMIB creates a strong presence in southern Sydney for the group with the previously acquired FWR Insurance Brokers.

Mr Saunders says there is “a number of broker consolidations on the table in the area and with the loss of capable insurance brokers, we are pleased to be able to strengthen both our client base and intellectual capital with BMIB”.

“We see ourselves as an alternative to the internationals at the corporate end of the market and intend being a major player in the commercial/SME market inside three years,” he said.
