Australian brokerage Honan Insurance Group has expanded into Malaysia via a strategic relationship with the Kuala Lumpur-based Hayat Group.

The Worldwide Broker Network (WBN) has formalised the move and appointed Honan as the second WBN member in Malaysia.

Honan is also recognised as the second WBN member in Singapore, following the acquisition of Singapore-based Macs Insurance Brokers last year.

“Honan is [now] better equipped to deal with the challenges that come with administering multinational insurance programs across southeast Asia,” a spokesman said.
