Hollard prepares to launch premium funding operation

Hollard Insurance has created a new premium funding business, saying there is an opportunity for a new player in the market.

Several “seasoned professionals” have been recruited to Attvest Finance, which will launch next month.

Hollard Head of Distribution Gregory Mullins says there have been “significant changes in both market capabilities and ownership of current premium funders” in the past two years.

“We recognised an opportunity for a new player in the market and with the talented and highly respected team we have assembled, we believe we can offer a strong competitive alternative.”

The company will have offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Perth and intends to have a national presence within three months.

Johan Steyn, who has joined Attvest Finance from Centrepoint Alliance, has been appointed MD and Head of Operations. Craig Aylmore, also from Centrepoint, and Natasha Gale, who was most recently at Lumley Finance, are directors and will manage the west and east coast regions respectively.

“Hollard has a solid track record in establishing and growing successful independent businesses through our partnership model and we are delighted to have attracted such a talented and reputable management team,” Hollard MD Richard Enthoven said.

Hollard board member David Matcham will chair the Attvest board.
