Hollard achieves complex integration of broker network product lines
Hollard has successfully integrated a portfolio of three personal lines it was appointed by a major broker network to underwrite into its new Duck Creek Technologies platform.
Xceedance, as systems integrator, managed the complex transition to NASDAQ-listed software provider Duck Creek’s product. Hollard will continue working with the pair as it migrates all its brand partners onto the technology.
Hollard CIO Jamie Smith likened the project to “building a plane while flying the plane” in which a highly skilled project team “needed to maintain focus with laser-like precision”.
The unique three-way partnership worked on the platform, which administers auto, home and landlord insurance products for the broker network. The trio combined to successfully achieve integration in just six months in a challenging multi-million-dollar undertaking.
The project was strategically important for Hollard, Mr Smith says, in “building the backbone of our technology platform for the future”.
“We had to get the foundational aspects right,” he said. “Ensuring the three parties were aligned was critical.”
Xceedance VP and Country Leader Australia Stephen Browne says the project was an “Australian first” for implementing three product lines and a new policy system, integrated with a new communications layer and data migration, in the six-month timeframe.
